Sarah Campbell is a seasoned educational leader and consultant specializing in strategic growth, talent development, and program design. As founder and CEO of the Oak Island Group, she collaborates with schools, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations to build sustainable systems and drive meaningful impact through scalable, results-driven solutions.
Previously, Sarah served as the Chief Learning Officer at the KIPP Foundation, supporting its national network of schools, and as the Chief Academic Officer at KIPP DC, where she helped lead an award-winning school system. Over two decades, she has honed a strong skill set in project management, team development, and leadership training. Recognized for her strategic vision and ability to cultivate top talent, she has designed programs for both emerging and senior leaders, preparing executives for success in classrooms and organizational leadership.
Sarah’s contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including The Washington Post’s Principal of the Year Award, KIPP’s Excellence in Teaching Award, and recognition for leading KEY Academy Middle School to become the first KIPP school to win a National Blue Ribbon. She holds an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business, an Executive Education Certificate from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, and a B.S. in Public Policy (Education Policy) from Brown University. She also completed the Teach for America training program and studied abroad at Syracuse University’s Florence Campus.

In her role with BetterLesson, Taylor has supported teachers nationwide in applying evidence-based practices, refining instructional techniques, and meeting high-impact goals. At Meeting Street Schools, she demonstrated her strategic management skills as an MTSS Director, where she oversaw multi-tiered support systems, led professional development initiatives, and collaborated across teams to enhance learning outcomes for diverse student populations.
Known for her problem-solving abilities and keen analytical skills, Taylor excels at creating streamlined, actionable plans that support both immediate and long-term improvements in instructional and organizational performance. Katie is an award winning nonprofit leader and consultant with expertise in strategic development, community engagement, and fundraising. As the founder of Community Farmers Markets (CFM) in Atlanta, she expanded the organization from a single market to a network of 13, providing fresh, locally sourced food to over 230,000 residents each year. With a collaborative approach, Katie has led complex partnerships across government, nonprofit, and private sectors, managing over $10 million in funding through grants and diverse revenue streams. She brings extensive skills in project management, program evaluation, and program research, which have contributed to the success of CFM and her other endeavors.
She is an active board member of The Dharma Project, a volunteer foster for Lifeline Animal Project, and an alum of Harvard Business School’s nonprofit management program. Katie earned her bachelor’s degree from New York University. Her commitment to accessible, community-centered solutions has earned her numerous accolades, including the Outstanding Atlanta Award and recognition from the Georgia Center for Nonprofits.
